Prepare for Committee

Thorough preparation is the key to a successful NMUN conference experience. All delegates should read the NMUN Delegate Preparation Guide. It will provide answers to most of your questions.

Resolution Policy

Although delegates are encouraged to develop resolution writing skills, both in classroom scenarios and at other Model UN simulations, NMUN conferences do not accept pre-written resolutions. Delegates should refrain from discussing the issues with other delegations until their first committee session.

General Resources

The resources listed below are only a starting point for your research. We highly recommend extensive use of academic books; scholarly journals; newspaper articles; and information from websites of UN bodies, affiliated non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and other international or regional organizations such as the World Bank, WHO, OECD, APEC, etc. Delegates are advised to evaluate online sources carefully and only use reputable sources.
