Scholarship Information (New York only)

Make a Secure Online Donation Now!

We offer a limited number of scholarships for the NMUN-New York Conference. At this time, we do not have scholarship opportunities for our other conferences. Please see the scholarship program descriptions below, for more details.

For additional information, please contact scholarships@nmun.org.

1. Educational Scholarships

Each year, two $2,000 and four $1,000 educational scholarships are awarded to fully registered schools. They are based on financial need, demonstrated fundraising efforts, and attempts to help meet the goal of participation by diverse delegate populations at NMUN-NY. Previous participation in an NMUN conference is required. Half of the awards in each funding level are granted to schools outside the United States. Schools must complete the online conference registration process and pay their school registration fee by the scholarship deadline of 15 December. Scholarship award recipients are notified of their awards by 31 January.

To apply, submit the 2013 NMUN•NY Education Scholarship Application form.

2. Video Contest

All delegations attending NMUN-NY are invited to record a short video documenting their team's preparation, participation, and experiences related to the New York conference. The video contest provides an opportunity to creatively showcase not only your enthusiasm and support for National Model UN, but also the richness and excitement of the conference experience. Two $1,000 and two $500 awards are given in the form of NMUN-NY delegate fee waivers towards the following year's conference in New York. Winning videos are featured on our NMUN You Tube channel.

Details at: NMUN•NY Video Contest.

Additional Fundraising Ideas

In addition to the limited scholarship opportunities listed above, check with your educational institution for possible scholarships or grants that they may provide to assist your delegation in funding your attendance at NMUN conferences. Visit our Fundraising Ideas page for other possibilities.
